Our 7/6 #14 fly rod is capable of casting the largest of flies and heavy sinking lines to saltwater bruisers. The shorter length makes sense when short stroking deep-sounding fish. Overbuilt with a thicker walled blank, this rod isn't the lightest fly rod you'll pick up but when you're leaning on a monster, you won't have to worry about a blowout. At three pieces, this rod still travels well and comes with a high-quality, Cordura-covered rod tube like all of our rods. It is built for power and speed when trying to  land the fish of a lifetime. This Rod does not have an additional handle because of the length and flex point that generally cause the shorter rods to bend in an awkward manner with the added fore-grip and genrally tends to make them less durable.
